Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Windows 10/11. A SayIntentions account for counted flights and a VATSIM account for the VATSIM hours. Internet to activate the serial and for the voiced crew.
About this add-on
Pilot Life is a flight-training career for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. You start as a student at your own flight school and earn every certificate the way real pilots do, to the real FAA Part 61 minimums.
The career
- Private Pilot (14 CFR 61.109), Instrument Rating (61.65(d)) and Commercial Pilot (61.129(a)), then PIC hour building.
- Ground school: read, study, test, fly and repeat each lesson, with knowledge tests for every stage and a study library of official FAA handbooks and videos.
- Real radio work: every counted flight is flown with SayIntentions, and each stage needs 12 hours on VATSIM.
- Checkrides: the examiner flies the practical test with you and grades it.
Your crew, voiced
- Your instructor talks you through lessons, briefs and debriefs; your examiner runs the checkride. Talk to them by voice or text.
- After the hire: your first officer, dispatcher, maintenance control and the airline's CEO, who know your flight, your aircraft and its open write-ups.
- Included with your Pilot Life serial (a monthly allowance), or use your own keys.
One tablet for the whole career
- It starts almost blank and grows with you: STUDENT → PRIVATE PILOT → INSTRUMENT → COMMERCIAL.
- Dashboard with your home field's METAR and TAF, School, Calendar, Planning (cross-country checks, fuel and 91.151 reserves), Logbook, Media and Settings (SayIntentions, SimBrief, VATSIM).
- Mandatory preflight: walk around the aircraft and pull the covers before a lesson counts.
- Checklists from your own aircraft: Pilot Life reads the loaded aircraft's checklist and watches the items it can see.
In the sim (MSFS 2024)
- An EFB app and the Pilot Life Instructor toolbar window, starting with the sim.
The hire
- With your commercial certificate you are hired into a ClearedToCode Virtual Airlines career. Your logbook carries over, the tablet becomes your airline's tablet, and your airline flights start at a real gate.
Try it: a 24-hour demo, counted only while you fly. Then a Pilot Life serial unlocks it for good, on 2 of your PCs.
